Audio Video Interleave (AVI) is the brainchild of Microsoft which was developed in early 1990s. It allows you to stream videos on Mac or transfer them to portable iOS devices. Although this software is commonly used on Windows PCs, it can also be used on Mac devices. However, not all AVI files are compatible with the free version of Apple’s QuickTime. Convert AVI Files to Formats Compatible with QuickTime
